Seeds For Feeds is a free college baseball coverage site. This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and how you can control it. We don't sell your data or run advertising.
This site is intended for users aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has submitted information to us, contact us at privacy@seedsforfeeds.com and we will delete it promptly.
What we collect
When you visit the site, we log the page you visited, the referring URL, your browser and device type, and a random session ID (not tied to your identity). We also receive your approximate location (country, region, city) from Vercel's infrastructure based on your IP address. We do not store IP addresses directly. This data is used only to understand site traffic: which pages are popular, where visitors come from.
If you subscribe to the newsletter, we store your email address. If you signed up through the CWS Pick-Em game, we also record whether you opted in to site updates. We use this only to send occasional emails about Seeds For Feeds. Every email includes an unsubscribe link.
To participate, you sign in with a magic link sent to your email. We store your email address and the leaderboard name you choose. We also store your bet history within the game (which teams you picked, how many tokens, outcomes). This information is used solely to run the game. Tokens have no monetary value and cannot be redeemed for anything.
If you leave a comment on a game or article, we store the text of your comment and the name you provide. We do not require an account to comment.
What we don't do

Cookies
We use a single session cookie to keep you signed in to the CWS Token Challenge. This cookie is strictly necessary for authentication and is not used for advertising or cross-site tracking. We do not use third-party tracking cookies or advertising pixels.
How it's stored
Database & authentication: your email address, leaderboard name, bet history, and comments are stored in a hosted database in the United States.
Hosting & infrastructure: the site runs on a cloud hosting platform that processes each request and provides the approximate geolocation we use for anonymous analytics. We do not store raw IP addresses.
Your choices
Unsubscribe from email: every newsletter includes an unsubscribe link. You can also email us and we'll remove you immediately.
Delete your account: email us and we will delete your account, email address, and associated game data from our systems within 30 days.
Analytics opt-out: page view data is anonymous and session-based. If you'd prefer not to be counted, you can disable JavaScript or use a browser extension that blocks fetch requests.
