SFF Take

USC's losers' bracket gauntlet means nothing against UNC's home-field execution in June.

Yes, the Trojans beat Texas A&M in hostile territory and showed offensive punch, but grinding through elimination games in College Station is fundamentally different from playing three straight in Chapel Hill against an ACC-tested staff that's been waiting in the regional host seat. UNC's balanced lineup doesn't crack under pressure at Boshamer; their pitching stays fresh because they don't need 8-inning bullpen efforts when the bats score early. USC has every right to believe they can steal a game on the road, but the Heels' combination of lineup depth, pitching reliability, and home advantage is too much to overcome in a best-of-three.
