The Mountaineers didn't get to host by accident; they survived three consecutive elimination games against quality opponents and built genuine momentum in a way that matters psychologically. Cal Poly's hot streak is real, but there's a difference between sweeping a regional and arriving in Morgantown depleted from travel, facing a noon start, and playing a team that just proved it can win when its back is against the wall. Gavin Kelly and Paul Schoenfeld will feast against a bullpen that's about to get overworked, and Maxx Yehl's presence in Game 1 shifts the entire dynamic. This doesn't go three games.
